Stent Fatigue Testing
Today I presented preliminary results of our inter-laboratory fatigue study at the FDA/NHLBI/NSF Workshop.
Dimensional variances were characterized for the gStent-BE and found typical of stainless steel stents. Good agreement was found between three labs for characterizing the stress-strain behavior. Preliminary data from the labs are in good agreement with a 50% survival of the standardized test stent at +/-1.23% motion. Fracture locations were very consistent, and occurred exclusively at bridge features.
